This website contains information which may help you as you come to terms with a crime.
It tells you some of the ways in which crime may affect you and how talking about it may help, and it gives more information about some specific crimes.
As a victim or witness, you may want to know more about the criminal justice system and how Victim Support and the Witness Service can support you as you come into contact with the police and court system.
It also deals with some of the practical issues you may face, including, for example, getting compensation, crime prevention, health and housing problems, claiming on your insurance, or getting help with your social security benefits.
